An Indie-Pop beach-loving singer/songwriter from Golden Bay
Hailing from the beach haven of Golden Bay, singer/songwriter Laura-Mae stays true to her relaxed and upbeat vibe. This independent Wellington-based indie-pop singer has performed at SoundSplash '21, Marchfest '21 and Gardens Magic '20. Laura-mae’s latest single Young Years has received over 450k streams on Spotify, and boosted her monthly listeners to over 46k.
Laura-Mae draws lyrical inspiration from Stevie Nicks and Maggie Rogers whilst structuring the rhythm to that of Robinson and Joss Stone. This rising singer has proven herself 2021’s upcoming NZ musician to watch, with new single releases scheduled throughout the year, right before her third national summer tour.
This rising kiwi singer released her debut single ‘Betsy’ in May 2020 and has received airplay on The Hits. Her second single Rug of Numbers produced by Tiny Triumph (Estere, Louis Baker) was released August 7th 2020 and played on ZM. Laura-mae will be recording her self-titled debut EP in April, with singles being released late 2021.
